This sacred Cacao is prepared in respect to tradition from shade-grown, mature trees of the Peruvian Amazon. Small batch means always fresh and extremely high in the precious chemical compounds that assist us into heightened states.

What is ceremonial-grade cacao?

What qualifies Cacao to be ceremonial grade? Firstly, the trees from which the beans are taken must be well established and thriving as part of a naturally diverse ecology of plants and mycelium. Conventionally farmed Cacao does not allow for such a rich uptake of nutrients into the tree that would eventually produce these high-quality beans.

After the harvest, the beans are washed, sun-dried, and finally crushed until the fats are released fully and a liquid-like texture is achieved. Think of the same way that we process peanuts into peanut butter. The amazing thing with cacao however is that the fats are so stable, that when the liquor is left alone it hardens up, just like a block of chocolate!
